The Link Between Cake and the Meaning of Life

Posted by The Wine Whore |

Sometimes you just have to put everyday stress aside and enjoy the good things in life. This weekend was one of those moments for me. I'm not sure what I was celebrating, but whatever it was, I did it up right! Between last Thursday's fun at The Wine Room, Friday night's kick ass dinner, and even my late adventures last night, I feel satisfied. It's nice to feed your libido with the tasty formula of good food, good drinks, and good friends. That's what life is all about!

Unfortunately life also requires that I work my 9-5 in order to support weekends such as this. If I have to go back to work tomorrow, at least I feel happy, satisfied, and ready to get back to the grind!

Did you celebrate life this weekend? How do you like to feed your libido?

Cheers!

I love to try new restaurants in Nashville and have fun pairing wines with the new foods,I like to go to my fav wine shop and maybe buy a expensive wine that I have been wanting to try..but alas I must ,like you, go back to work on Monday to pay for my expensive taste...I guess it is true, you can't have your cake and eat it too...lol

LOL! Yeah, but it sure tastes SO good! Especially when it's paired with a nice bottle of wine! Which bottle? Well I finished off that Dominus Cab with my chocolate cake and it was very nice! :)

Hope you have a great week Michele! Did you find any cool restaurants or try any new wine this weekend?

For me, it's time out with my wife at a restaurant, a great workout at the gym, or a beautiful piece of NY Cheesecake with some chocolate on top.

glad you could refuel for the grind

You are very welcome Chris! Always glad to help a fellow wine lover!

Hey there Josh! How was your marathon? Missed you around the blogosphere!

Randy, the marathon was awesome. I got to run the entire thing with my sister. We never walked. It was such a proud moment. Got kinda choked up at the end. A lot of work culminating at the finish. I'll be back in town Monday night and back to the grind on Tuesday. We can catch up then.
