Being Sick is Nothing to Wine Over...

Posted by The Wine Whore |

I hate not feeling well. Sure, it sucks being laid up in bed (well, not completely) but the part that really disappoints me is the fact that I can't enjoy wine with a stuffy nose.

So, if chicken soup is good for the soul, is whiskey the cure for the common cold? Maybe it's a spicy Shiraz that shakes out the flu bug. What do you like to drink when you're feeling well? NyQuil may have some alcohol content, but I'm hoping there's something tastier than the blueish-green goo to sip on while I'm sick.

I may not be able to drink wine tonight, but that's not going to stop me from talking about it right now! :)

After reading your Twitter post, I was expecting a sexy bottle of Pino...very disappointing. Keep talking about wine, it'll make you feel better sooner.

You must be feeling pretty crappy. I've never seen so many typos (other than in my own posts) Tell me how that Shiaz works for you. lol

LOL! You know what it is... I didn't put in my contact lenses this morning! :) I should really put on my glasses or at least proofread! Oh well, I just fixed a couple of 'em but if there are any I still missed... hopefully you guys will understand! :)

If only they made wine with the medicinal qualities of NyQuil but tasted like a find Cabernet! Now that would be a cool distraction!

I always give my folks hot tea with sugar or ginger ale if they are sick. You can try boiling some chicken broth drizzle in a beaten egg and add some acini de pepe pasta. You'll feel better. Feel better soon!

For a cold I like hot fresh lemonade with honey and whiskey. Kills the ache and clears the nose. Get well soon. Cheers, Richard

Been taking antibiotics, fluids, and lots of decongestant. Feeling much better today, but still not 100%... I've gotta get better in time for Australia Day!
