The Wine:
Penley Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

The Good:
Fruity and fun to sniff with a decent finish that doesn't go flat right away. Overall a decent wine for the less than $15 pricetag.

The Bad:
If you like your Cabs oaky and as dry as a walk in the Sahara, this one isn't for you. There's also something odd that pops up about halfway through the tasting experience that sticks out in a bad way. This wine is kinda like that one quirky friend you hang out with when none of your other friends are available.

For this and other affairs, check out the summary of scores, map, or even choose my next bottle.

LOL! Have you ever had a wine that you would describe this way? :)

I've had many wines that were so quirky, I'd never drink them again!

Too quirky would definitely be bad... this one just had a small quirk around halfway through the taste that made it seem a bit odd. Now I do have to say that when this package arrived, it was pretty warm... not sure if the heat caused the quirk or not but still thought it was important to bring out!

How was the wine that you tasted "quirky"?
