This Week's TWWTV: Austrian Affair Part II

Posted by The Wine Whore |

Come have a drink with me without having to leave the comfort of your own home...

Click the TWWTV logo above to join me this Thursday @ 7:30pm ET as I go on another blind date with the Austrian grape otherwise known as Zweigelt. Don't be shy and most importantly, don't come empty handed.

Bring your own blind date!

Find a bottle of wine made from a grape that you've never tried before and bring it to this Thursday's affair... Ill see you there!

In the meantime, I'm dying to know... Who are you going to choose to bring to the party?

Cheers!

Hi Randy,
I found your page while reading WhyWine (Joe). I really enjoy your posts and I look forward to following your road ahead. I am a fan of Zweigelts and have had many great ones while in Austria and Switzerland. I only wish we could get more of them here in the US. The Gruner Veltliners from Austria are really nice whites.

Cheers.

WhyWine and Joe are both awesome! Joe is the first and only non wine industry working blogger to have sent me some juice... now that's cool in my book! He's also a really nice person to boot! I'd be happy to meet anyone who is a fan of Joe.

I tried a few of these the other week and fell in love. The fullness yet uniqueness of the flavor (especially in the older ageable ones) is really cool for someone like myself who traditionally gets a lot of CA wine exposure.

I also tried a Gruner Veltliner for the first time last week and was impressed. I think I should have a couple Gruners to try soon, but this week, I have two more Zweigelts to taste through... I can't wait!

Hope you can join me this Thursday! It's usually a great way to meet other wine lovers, interact, and most importantly, have fun!

Cheers!

I'm going to try a log in on Thursday - it's 1:30 in the morning here in Spain, but I'm sure it'll be worth it, no? :)

I know that's late but it should be fun!

If you can't make it and want to see how it works, I can always fire it up at an earlier time of the day this weekend!

Cheers!
