A class action suit has been filed against E.J. Gallo and several other makers of notoriously inexpensive CA house wine. According to the suit, several other wineries are suing to compensate for damages in the form of lost revenue.
Their claim: these inexpensive and often toxic wines are turning off people that would otherwise love wine. In my opinion, they've got a great case!
Cheers!
Hopefully Unnecessary Disclaimer - If you believe anything stated in this post, you might also be interested in investing in my new winery... I hired Jimmy Hoffa as my winemaker, E.T. picks the grapes, and unicorns bottle the juice. It's awesome! ;)

Hey, do I have great timing or what?
Timing?! More like muse! :)
Cheers!
I've had unicorn-bottle vino before. Nice finish, but the way it hits the tongue is a little too horny for my palate.
Can't argue with this. I think it is a long-time coming. I could see this setting an example and other countries to following suit.
Cheers
LOL! I was hoping a horny joke would get thrown down on the table! :) Love it!
That's what I'm hoping! You don't see this problem as bad as in other places... we'll see!
Cheers!
Actually I see their reasoning. My sister says she hates red wine. That's probably because she's only had bad ones, not any really good ones. I hope to win her over to nice reds!
LOL! I am speechless! :)
Would it be okay if I hired Michael Jackson to help make my Puno?
Cheers!
I am always surprised at just how many people are scared of wine or think that they won't like it merely because they've only been exposed to these sorts of wine... once you get them something with some character (and taste), it's like their eyes open wide!
It's a beautiful thing!
Which wine do you think will win her over?
Cheers!
I am thinking a Pinot Noir or a Bordeaux-style blend of some sort. Then I can work her up to a full-bodied Cab!
Both are probably good bets... I am always cautious with Pinot Noir but a decent red blend is always nice!
How soon are you going to properly "initiate" her to wine? :)
Cheers!
Richard - that is funny! I needed a good laugh today! Randy - you are twisted!
LOL! I try! :)
Cheers!
