Got this letter the other day...Dear Wine Whore,
Me and a couple of girlfriends would like to take a wine-related overnighter in the Illinois/Wisconsin/Michigan area this February (we hail from Chicago and South Bend IN). Wondering if there are any inexpensive yet fun places we could visit.
I realize that most tours are in the summertime, but we'd love to do a wine tasting and have somewhere nice to stay the night.
Appreciate any input.
Cheers!
Any suggestions?

Check out Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery in Michigan. Also let them know to check out MichiganByTheBottle.com. A great local wine blogger who KNOWS the best of Michigan. Cheers!
That's exactly what I am looking for! Thank you Brian! Very helpful!
I did the Glacial Hills wine tour a few years back and the wines were very good. Worth checking out...and you can knock them out in a day.

Thank you allan! :)
Really appreciate the help!
Fruit wines and some California juices aged at Stone's Throw and Simon Creek, Door Co, WI. Travel a few hundred miles west and come to beautiful Polk Co, WI and go to the Chateau St.Croix north of St. Croix Falls, WI. It's a great place to visit. Accomodations in St Croix Falls @ Holiday Inn Express.
