Wow, right now I collect hobbies and work. I play guitar, write music, play in church, tweet about wine, blog about wine, developing a brick and morter business model, sell real estate, interview wine and coffee owners, run 1/2 marathons, work out, and I have a full time executive job at a national bank.
P.S. I have a family too and enjoy underwater basket weaving ;)
I used to collect wine cooler bottles...but then my dad made me get rid of them. Something about it not being an appropriate collection for a 16 year old girl.
I've moved on to better things. Thanks Dad!
Nectar, are you sure that you aren't some sort of wine drinkin' cyborg sent from the future to conquer the world?!? Seriously though, you are totally killing it! If you are doing any of those other things HALF as well as you are in the world of wine blogging, you deserve an AWARD!
What's your favorite thing to do? Oh, yeah, and what kind of guitar do you play? I like to play too! :)
LOL! Were you drinking 'em too? I guess I don't blame him! :)
Wine is MUCH better!
Oh yeah. They weren't FULL ones...And I wasn't canvassing the neighborhood or Football games to collect them.
Wine IS much better! As are my wine buddies...thanks.
I was expecting your wine collection actually. I collect Santa Clauses and cookbooks.
On my next trip to Europe, I will pick some glasses up from the countries I visit. Hopefully heading over at the end of March.
Wow, Nectar sure seems busy. Does he ever sleep?
Myself, I am a bit of a packrat, a collector at heart. I have two major collections, DVDs and books. I own about 2000+ plus DVDs, though I have been collecting them since DVDs were first released. I would conservatively say I have at least 5000 books. Plus lots of magazine and comics. I'll take some pictures soon.
Whore -
I have a Taylor 814CE (pictured in the most recent coffee review) a American Standard Strat and a Seagul S6 cutaway acoustic electric.
Maybe we could virtually jam on the live video feed. LOL
LOL! That's good to know, Shelly! I agree, I love my wine buddies! :)
Sorry to disappoint Rachel! Would you like to see my collection?
In Vino, where will you be visiting?
I can't wait to see your pics Richard... it sounds quite impressive! :)
Nectar- A virtual jam?! That sounds like a cool idea... you're on! :) What kind of music do you like to jam to?
Other than wine at the moment, I collect those city starbucks mugs. I have upwards of 32 of them. One of my rules was that I had to purchase them myself from the city aka actually visit the location. But when thoughtful friends brought them back from far flung places such as Bali, Sydney, and Alaska, I couldnt say no.
Ill try posting the pics today!
I'm a classic rocker at heart and also am heavily influenced by 80's butt rock.
Richard - what's your plans for when DVD's go the way of VHS?
Nectar:
I am hoping that does not happen for some time. I do have a Blu-Ray player now, and fortunately it still plays my old DVDs.
That's cool Kate!
I do the same thing with my shotglasses... I actually keep 'em separated based on whether or not I bought them or someone else gave 'em to me! Do you keep your mugs separated too? Can't wait to see the pics!
Nectar, I know you can't see it, but I'm holding up the horn! Rock on! I like classic rock too but also dabble in a bit of funk! After all, bass and drums deserves some good funk!
Richard, I wonder what the next technology of DVD's will be? Flash drives?
Whore - Always Switzerland (my wife's home) and usually Austria and Italy and sometimes Germany.
in vino, I can't wait to visit Italy! Hopefully I'll get over there this year! How hard is it to get between Amsterdam, Austria and Italy? There's probably a train that makes it easy, right?
