Get Crunk on Chardonnay

Posted by The Wine Whore |

I can't believe this crap... now even the rapper formally known as Lil Jon has his own winery! What happened? When did wearing beaucoup bling and busting out fat rap rhymes become a prerequisite for making well crafted wine. Clearly the wine market believes that we are dumb enough to buy a bottle based on a label, name, or in this case, rap sheet.

Anyone ever try this stuff? Who's next? Is Lil Kim looking to make wine too?

From a different perspective, think of the whole new market that could open up for wine. Even though he's just pursuing it as $$ making adventure, the following and influence he has could really create some inroads.

But, would we all have to get blinged out chalice's to drink from?

Excellent point! I guess anything that attracts a wider audience into the wine market can't be all that bad... it's just too bad that a guy like this doesn't make better quality juice. I'd be all for it if it set a GOOD example.

P.S. I am all about the blinged out chalice!

Ya'll must be really white...LOL we don't get "blinged out." We have bling, it's a THING, not a verb.

On that note, if he has any idea about the stuff, let him try. If it's good, I'll drink it. If it sucks, I'll blast it. I'm a BOSS.

Love it! I would try the wine for sure. I might even swing by the LCB store today and see if they have it. It will make a great review. Sascha, love your fun post! Since you explained the correct usage of bling, can you please tell me what "crunk ain't dead" means?

LOL! Sascha, maybe you are right and I am REALLY just TOO white! :) You are also correct that I should try this wine first before knocking it. I was just testing you guys to see if you would say anything ;)

Rachel- If you try this one, you have to let me know what you think. Judging from what I can tell, these are not going to be wines to write home about. I am dissapointed... I would much rather see celebrities endorse products that are of high quality (i.e. Crystal Champagne).

What's your favorite celebrity product? Is it high or low quality?

I'll definitely send a report if I can locate a bottle of Lil Jon. I'm not impressed by celebrity testimonials. I don't like to be told to use drug store make-up or hair color by someone who employs a stylist. One celeb endorsement I might take into consideration, if need be, is a rehab facility. They seem to be experts on the subject.

Cool! You totally cracked me up with that one... I think you are right. Many celebrities have a great deal of expertise in that area. Wine, on the other hand, is questionable. :)
