Bodacious Bordeaux Slide Show

Posted by The Wine Whore |

It was a trip of a lifetime and a 30th birthday that I'll never forget. I can't think of any better way to spend my birthday than cruising through the Crus of Bordeaux. While I couldn't take everyone along with me to enjoy the celebration, I have put together a slide show chronicling my adventures in this far away wine country...

Pour a glass of wine, sit back, and enjoy the show!

Randy!

Thanks for showing us these beautiful photos! I am going to France next week and now I look even more forward to it! yeah!
By the way, did you know that I don't have a single Bordeaux title on my wine list? Crazy considering that my first love affair with wine was when I tasted a 1988 Chteau Cheval Blanc!

This is a great time of the year to visit... it's just starting to get cold and the leaves are turning a spectrum of colors! You're gonna have a great time!

I have a feeling that you will have some titles on your wine list pretty soon! :)

Cheers!

Wow, incredible shots Randy! I'll need to pick your brain about the trip over a bottle soon. I'd like to fly out next year for a few weeks.

Favorite bottle?

Thank you Brian!

Honestly, all of the wine was so good, I still haven't decided which bottle was my favorite. I think I personally enjoyed the wine from St. Emillion better than regions like Paulliac which typically have more Cab in their blends. This surprised me since I typically like Cab much more than Merlot. I think St Emillion was better because it offered a much better value for their wine. The bottles from this region were much better tasting and much less expensive.

I'd love to tell you all about it over a bottle of wine... just tell me when! :)

Cheers!
