Wine Whore Review:

How did wine play a role in your life this weekend?

The sun sets over another great wine weekend!

As a tribute to all of the 'wine whores' of the world, I would like to invite you to share your weekend wine story with me.

Here's your chance to share YOUR story, pictures, and video clips...
  • Did you drink an expensive bottle from your wish list?
  • Maybe you finally opened that special bottle that was tucked away for years?
  • Perhaps you discovered a new favorite wine or varietal?
  • Or did you just have fun relaxing with a cool glass in the sun?

Share your weekend wine story with the WWCrew and I may choose your story to recap and feature in next week's review.

Spent the weekend in Santa Rosa and Napa at Wine Bloggers Conference... tasted dozens of wines.
Stand out Red: Oakville East Core Stone 2007 blend 60% Cab Sav, 35% Cab Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. Checkout this winery - relatively new, just converted to biodynamics, making stellar wine.
Runner up red: Cuvaison 2007 Pinot Noir. Bright red fruit, lively acidity, raspberry and blueberry on the finish.

WBC will be in Walla Walla, Washington. See you there next year!

The wine guru is putting together an historic Michigan Cabernet Franc competition with a panel of incredible judges...even a Bordeaux connection. Go to www.MichWine.com for all the juicy details. Look to the left hand scroll for "Terry Stingley thinks he's found Michigan's identity wine"

Summer finally arrived in Central New York as temperatures reached the high 80's. Nice time for cool whites. Had a nice Italian Pinot Grigio, finished a cool New York Cab Franc Rose' and enjoyed a fantastic organic Sauvignon Blanc from California.
