I visited Oregon wine country - Willamette Valley wineries as well as the Columbia Gorge area. Two in particular stand out - Wy'East and Pleasant Valley - both in the Hood River area.

The Wine Guru in michigan. He has been a real advocate for the area winemakers, and has helped a lot of folks here, including my wife and I, get better acquainted with the local juice. And he's not even from these parts...he's a Bayou Boy
All the folks at Chateau des Charmes in Niagara.
It has to be the Single Vineyard Wines of Nickel & Nickel.
Bruce McGuire-Santa Barbara Winery
I am recently falling in love with Finger Lakes wines, especially some fantastic reds, but if pressed to pick an all time favorite, I have to go with Italian winemaker Antinori. In every price range from the 'Santa Christina' and 'Toscana Chiant Classico' to their Super Tuscans 'Tignanello' and 'Solaia,' no one does it better.
David O'rRilly from Owen Roe is good
Celia( Masyczek ) Welch
Dave Phinney

Fave is still Mike Grgich 80+ and still going strong - must be the good grapes!
I'm not afraid to admit that Mike has some killer grapes! ;)
Cheers!
Wine industry or winemaker? Brain Larkey of Dalla Terra imports one of the best collections of fine Italian wine.
M'hudi or Seven Sisters
Of the wine makers that I have actually met.
Kris Curran is still at the top of my pack.
She is funny - She is passionate - She is a bit in your face.
Hah! I'm going to be very surprised if you get even two commenters to agree on one person. :')
Realizing that, my vote would go to new owners of Central Florida's Henscratch Farms, Drew Jones and Brooke Bundy. They took over the winery (after the previous owner had to sell it) to keep the place going, uprooting from Georgia to do so. For them, it is truly a labor of love. http://www.henscratchfarms.com/winery.htm
