Wise Wine Review:
Cost Score = 9/10 Points
(Additional stats below)

You may remember my S.O.S. last week for fellow wine lovers to help me win some free wine. This post is a dedication to the winning white wine, Smoking Loon California Chardonnay.

Vintage Info:
Behind the light straw color are aromas of sweet spring flowers, green tea, and a touch of fresh pineapple. The palate is framed by flavors of lemon meringue, fresh papaya, limestone, and subtle nuances of clove finishing with nectarine and light vanilla oak tones. -Smoking Loon

Recommended Food Pairing:
Winerys Reccomendation- This Chardonnay pairs well with scallops over spring greens with a fresh Meyer lemon vinaigrette. Try this wine also with your favorite appetizers such as baked Brie topped with mango preserves or even mixed seafood ceviche served alongside a basket of tortilla chips.

My Reccomendation- Pretty much ANYTHING!!! I only caution this wine not to be served in the company of heavy red meats. Other than that, game on!

Wine Whore Score:

Every wine has a purpose or function. This Chardonnay presents the perfect solution for any occasion. Versatile, unanimously likeable (as evidenced by the tasting party) and inexpensive are its dominant traits. Selling for less than $10/bottle gives the golden moderately buttery Chardonnay a score of 9 for cost. Taste and enjoyability are above average with a score of 6 each which gives a total score of 29.5 out of 40 points and an average score of 7.4 out of 10 points. Although Smoking Loon won't change the way you see Chardonnays, it will offer a great crowd pleasing solution of a white wine to enjoy in the company of good friends and family.
